IN MY WAKE will release their EP, “Before the Dawn”, in Summer 2026. An exercise in spiritual alchemy, the band channels the dark side of the human condition — ego, fear, self-doubt — into something melodic, heavy and transformative.
Influenced by the haunting vocals and dissonant guitars of 90s grunge, the groove-driven intensity of nu-metal and the dynamics of modern alt-rock, IN MY WAKE manipulate these elements to produce an energy signature distinctly their own.

ORIGIN OF SOUND
IN MY WAKE began in 2022 by Drew Graves as a form of self-therapy. “I struggled through a dark period,” explains Graves,” and refused to indulge my vices. I turned to my guitar and began to write music again.” A tool which allowed Graves to harness the negative energy and convert it into something positive.
After a couple of months, the ‘therapy’ sessions evolved into a ‘Purpose’, and by summer 2023, Graves completed a collection of songs and set out to record an EP. Determined to perform vocals, guitars and bass, Graves summoned Chicago-artist/producer, Steve Pahl to record drums and provide the energy necessary to power the project.
