IN MY WAKE will release their EP, “Before the Dawn”, in Summer 2026. An exercise in spiritual alchemy, the band channels the dark side of the human condition — ego, fear, self-doubt — into something heavy, melodic, and transformative.
Influenced by the haunting vocals and dissonant guitars of 90s grunge, the groove-driven intensity of nu-metal and the dynamics of modern alt-rock, IN MY WAKE manipulate these elements to create an energy signature distinctly their own.

ORIGIN OF SOUND
IN MY WAKE formed in 2022 by Drew Graves as a form of self therapy. “I was battling depression and isolation,” explains Graves, “searching for a healthy way to process my thoughts and escape the darkness. Music gave me hope. Songwriting became a way to harness the negative energy and convert it into something positive.”
After a couple of months these therapy sessions evolved into a purpose and a collection of songs emerged. Performing vocals, guitars, and bass, Graves enlisted Chicago-drummer Steve Pahl to assist with percussion duties, providing the energy necessary to power the project.
